The Diocese of Arlington Office of Catholic Schools engages the services of FACTS Management to manage financial aid applications and assess the financial need of each student applying for tuition assistance. To apply for tuition assistance, complete one FACTS financial aid application and submit the required tax documents (including all supplemental schedules and forms) by MARCH 12, 2025. The application process opens November 1, 2024.
There are 5 main ways that you may seek financial assistance:
I. 529 Plan
II. The Diocesan Tuition Assistance Program
III. The Diocese of Arlington Scholarship Foundation
IV. St. Beatrice Special Tuition Assistance
V. Memorial Scholarship Fund
I. 529 Plan
The Virginia 529 Plan can now be used to fund tuition costs for private and religious education up to $10,000 per child per year. Because K-12 tuition is now a qualified higher education expense, some states may offer a deduction from individual state income taxes (Virginia, for example, offers up to a $4,000 deduction). This benefit alone gives some Virginia 529 account holders a new way to save money for both current and future academic expenses. Find out more:

Through Virginia’s Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits program and as a result of tax credit donations, the Diocese of Arlington Scholarship Foundation is able to provide tuition scholarships to eligible students of lower-income families. Applicants must meet the published criteria.
Through a generous donor, this extra source of assistance is available for single parent households and families with multiple children in Diocesan schools.
Through generous donations, special assistance may be given to families. More information coming soon.
