We are Thankful!
Dear Parents,
The vocation of parents entails the education of their children extending to all areas of human and spiritual life. Parental guidance is key to forming their child’s personality, character and will.
Children are undoubtedly a gift, as well as a responsibility, from God to parents as well as to the Church and to society. Their formation takes place, first of all, in the family, where we all learn "to be" in the life. That is where for the first time we experience the love that draws us to God and teaches us to honor Him in daily life.
The formation of virtuous people is a challenge requiring assistance from different institutions of society. Parents are responsible for honestly and realistically discerning which institutions will help them with the task of educating their children without undermining their first vocation as parents.
In this sense, Saint Leo the Great Catholic School, a ministry of Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, strives to offer comprehensive academic and faith formation responding to different educational needs as taught by the tradition of the Church.
For this, financial funds are necessary to help defray the costs of education. With this help it is possible to join forces and become part of a common mission of great urgency and need.
It is my honor to present the Saint Leo the Great School's “Gift Catalog.” Your donation will strengthen our School's educational programs and help us grow our resources. Please simply click below to contribute to the task of forming our youth according to Church teachings. Any gift donated is tax deductible.
Thank you for your generosity and willingness to help provide for the formation of our students.
In Christ,
Fr. Juan Puigbó
Pastor
The primary focus of the Saint Leo the Great Catholic School Development Program is the Father Veger Endowment Fund, named after the founding pastor of Saint Leo the Great. The interest in the Father Veger Endowment Fund is used to financially support the school, including faculty compensation enhancement, program resources, tuition assistance, capital expenses, and special projects. Our goal is to accumulate principle assets of two million dollars in the Father Veger Endowment fund.
The Father Veger Endowment Fund preserves the principle assets in it, and only the earnings generated by the principal can be spent. The idea is to build a large base of assets so that, in the future, the income generated can provide a substantial source of financial support for the school.

Technology Fund

In our fast-paced world, technology is constantly changing. Innovations in educational tools are critical to optimizing student learning and success. Technology enhances student education in all aspects of instruction.
Requests in this category include the purchase of computers, replacement components, computer peripherals, printers, and supplies. Software purchases may be in the form of network software, subscriptions to online software, or operating system software.
Contributions for software and computer equipment allow Saint Leo the Great Catholic School to provide and maintain cutting edge technology resources.
The Vianney Learning Center Fund
$100 suggested (any amount appreciated)
The Vianney Learning Center provides educational support for students who need additional academic reinforcement in all subject areas. Students receive push in support, small groups, or one on one instruction geared toward individual needs. The Center works closely with classroom teachers and parents to provide the needed support to promote student success.
Tuition Scholarship Fund
(any amount appreciated)
Tuition assistance at Saint Leo the Great School is guided by our belief that parents have an obligation to pay the educational expenses of their children to the extent that they are able. Tuition assistance and financial awards are used to fill the gap between the cost of a one-year tuition and what a family can contribute toward that cost.
We would like to offer the advantage of a Catholic education to those who desire it, but may not have the financial resources to provide this to their children. Full and partial scholarships are gratefully accepted, and any amount is appreciated.
Professional Development Fund
$100 suggested (any amount appreciated)
In today’s society, continued learning is a requirement. We need it to remain competitive and also to enhance our individual participation in culture and society.
The Professional Development Fund has been established to offer our faculty financial assistance with continuing education courses. This will enable them to acquire new skills and strategies, and to update existing methods of learning which will benefit all of our children at Saint Leo the Great School.
