MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 6 THROUGH 8)
Our Middle School Program includes grades 6, 7, and 8, and their schedules include departmentalized classes to provide for instruction in each of the core and encore subjects. Each student receives key instruction in their core subjects, faith formation, enrichment through their Encore classes, and celebrate cherished class customs, events, and activities. They are given greater responsibility in their learning as well as independence. Emphasis is placed on subject mastery, collaborative learning and teamwork, and the recognition of your child’s contributions to the learning process.
Within the classroom, your student may be divided into smaller groups for projects and collaborative learning, all the while promoting critical thinking and increased, progressive complexity in preparation for high school. Additional assistance may be given to meet his/her individual needs and learning style. Our Resource teachers act in support and help promote study skills, provide an environment for additional learning and testing, and a safe space for help. Our dedicated teaching team promotes executive functioning and organizational skill development further, building on the foundation set in earlier years.
